Blessings to GU

After wiping tears from my eyes and going for a walk to think and process, I feel like I need to write to you and tell you how powerful Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s words were.

I am so grateful to Gonzaga University for standing up to the righteous bullies who seem to preach what they think God would do.

Judging others is not what Jesus taught.

Because GU chose to live-stream the graduation ceremonies, I hope that many were able to hear the wise words from a true man of God.

What Archbishop Tutu speaks is the truth: that all humans are created equal and equally loved by God. May Tutu’s kind and hopeful words fill our hearts with love and help us all to be instruments of peace and goodwill.

Blessings to GU for its courage in standing up for such a model of human decency and Christianity.
