Idaho races important

For the first time ever I feel that the down-ticket races are more important than the race for president. The last two years – with the ascendance of tea party legislators at every level – have led to complete gridlock on the national level, and some truly abhorrent statutes being passed at the state level.

When people like Rep. Vito Barbieri call our public schools “godless,” and Rep. Bob Nonini says that if he “wanted a reasonable Republican, (he’d) vote for a Democrat,” we have truly reached the bottom of the barrel.

I cannot bring myself to vote for people who have no interest in governing for the good of all their constituents. I’d sooner leave my vote blank than vote for anyone that holds the people of Idaho in such disdain.
