McLaughlin for business

If you want to help small businesses in Spokane, and encourage job creation, vote for Nancy McLaughlin for 3rd Legislative District state senator. She is endorsed by the National Federation of Small Business (NFIB), the main organization advocating for policies that help businesses develop and thrive, while her opponent has a dismal record of only voting in support of small business 10 percent of the time (NFIB).

And the Association of Washington Business ranks his support of business in the bottom 15 percent of our legislators. It is a mystery to me why anyone believes he is an advocate for small business. He has supported anti-business legislation such as the creation of a state income tax on individuals and corporations and a state capital gains tax.

He opposes the people’s initiative requiring a two-thirds vote of the Legislature or a majority vote of the citizens to raise taxes. He voted against HB 2123 to reform workers’ compensation, which gives workers more choice in how their claims are settled and can speed up the process, benefiting all parties involved.

If you value small businesses and the jobs they provide, vote for Nancy McLaughlin for your state senator, 3rd District.
