Alter recycle pickups

I applaud the person who is asking for a smaller bin for her recyclables. However, given the fact that it is such a big bin, wouldn’t it be better to have the recycle truck come around once a month to pick up these items if it takes such a long time to fill them?

Having to request smaller bins would cause more money and manpower to pick up and distribute new bins. By having fewer pickups, Waste Management will have saved gas, time, money and possible retrofitting of the trucks to accommodate these smaller bins. Besides, there are times when a large bin comes in handy for large cardboard.
