On his Facebook wall, Dennis Mansfield posts:
I just had a 15 minute talk that lasted 143 years.
I had it with a 76 year old man named Jim. I needed a pair of
shoes repaired and dropped them off with him at the shop Susan and I’ve used for 21 years. Long time? Heavens no. Get this: After 60 years, Jim’s son now runs the place. Before Jim, his dad started running it in 1915. Before that, Jim’s grandfather. Before that, Jim’s great-grandfather in 1869. Amazing life stories are all around us, if we’ll just take the time to ask. Thanks, Jim, for sharing your life with me.
Question: Besides the Hudson’s at Hudson Hamburgers, can you name a North Idaho family that has passed down a business from one generation to another for a long time?
