Bailiff Sentenced For Sex w/Minor
Former Kootenai County bailiff sentenced for sex crimes with a minor. Jack McPike a former Kootenai County bailiff was sentenced to no less than 5 years and no more than 15 years today after he pled guilty in a plea
agreement to sexual abuse with a minor under the age of 16. Prosecutors say his sexual abuse was over about a 5 year period involving a family member. McPike lost his job as a bailiff on May 17 after he was arrested for the crimes. At McPike’s sentencing his attorney asked the judge for probation but judge Brudie told the court McPike’s actions went “well beyond bad judgment” and this case was too serious and went far too long to consider probation. Prior to this incident McPike had no criminal history. A sex offender evaluation determined McPike was at a low risk to re-offend/Dylan Wohlenhaus, KHQ.
