Vote for Haagenson

I am glad to hear Dean Haagenson is running for the North Idaho College board of trustees. I served as NIC trustee in the ’90s.

I first met Dean some 35 years ago when I was working for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. He was a young contractor who helped build new homes for tribal members. Later, in the ’80s, while we both served in the Idaho House of Representatives, I saw Dean in action. I saw a bright, thoughtful, hard-working person representing his district. While he is a Republican and I am a Democrat, we didn’t agree on everything. But, he’s open-minded and willing to discuss issues. In short, he’s a leader.

As a former Idaho state representative, former NIC trustee and Coeur d’Alene tribal member, I feel I know Dean Haagenson. He has what it takes to serve the community as an NIC trustee. He will do a great job. Please vote for him.
