Still Collecting Vinyls
I used to collect LPs of the music that I grew up with. I probably had more than a thousand at one time. Still
have several hundred. But I never was in the same league as Larry Kmetz, who has up to 30,000 LPs and 45s. He has devoted whole rooms in his house to his collection. Kmetz told Alecia Warren of the Coeur d’Alene Press: “This is not a dead issue by any stretch of the imagination,” said Larry, who still DJs, and talks of the days he owned a record store with Polly in Los Angeles. “It’s a dead issue with the public, yes. But if you go to these records shows, people come from all over the world to buy this type of material.”

Question: Do you have any 45s or LPs in your home? What type of music? Do you plan to get rid of them?
