Obama faced hostile foes

I’d like to address those who claim that Barack Obama has failed to fix the economy. He has. However, may I point out that he has met the most hostile opposition in my 73 years of memory.

May I note that in 2010, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that his “top political priority should be to deny President Obama a second term.” You may recall that they endeavored mightily to do so, even to the extent of messing with the mandatory raising the debt limit, so that the U.S. credit rating was lowered for the first time in history.

And now for one of my paranoid suspicions. Have you noted that the people who dislike Obama most, those who are piling money on Romney, are the folks who run or own the major corporations in our country, who despite ever-increasing business and profits, and rising stock prices, are not hiring anyone?

Gee, I seem to recall that one of Romney’s major complaints about Obama is the high unemployment rates. Mmm. Maybe I’m not so paranoid after all.
