Weekend Wild Card — 9.8-9.12

Sunday is my 28th anniversary with The Spokesman-Review. I started on Sept. 9, 1984, covering a labor dispute between the Coeur d’Alene School Board and the Coeur d’Alene Education Association. I was a local government reporter for 9 years; an editorial writer for 13 years, and a writer of Huckleberries/Kootenai Grapevine since January 1985. I began blogging while a member of the Editorial Board on Feb. 16, 2004. I’ve been in the news biz since June 1970. 42 years. It’s been a long, great ride. And I don’t see it ending soon.
