Send this parrot packing

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers recently sent out her glossy list of accomplishments to her constituents covering her recent two-year term. On the surface, they appear to be impressive and, since they affect our local area, we should be appreciative.

While her message focuses on things “she” accomplished that had local impact, it’s difficult to view her as our local representative when everything “she” accomplished was what she was allowed to accomplish by her party’s leaders.

She has a brain and needs to use it as our local representative for all the things we need. However, it’s political suicide for her to stray from party lines. Women’s issues are already being sidestepped. If the Republican candidate whose religious affiliation requires women to be subservient to men wins, women’s issues will be sidestepped forever.

How many pictures of Cathy have we seen where she appears to perch on John Boehner’s shoulder? All that’s missing is a dialogue box that says “Aawk, Cathy wanna cracker!” She’s only feathering her nest! The ballot box holds the key to unlocking her cage. Let’s give this political parrot her cracker and send her on her way! Vote for Rich Cowan!
