Momism/Dadism Proved True

On his Facebook wall, Dave Chamberlain writes: “Momism: If you learn to drink your coffee black, you will be able to drink it with anyone, anywhere. Dadism: If you learn to drive a stick Shift, you can drive anything. I would say those are Trueisms Yep, My mom and Dad said both.”

DFO: My father told me over and over: “I made a living for my family with my brawn; you’ll have to make a living for your family with your brains.” Momism: “The family who prays together stays together.” Both proved true.

Question: Do you have any momisms and Dadisms from your family that proved true?
