Nic: Cowards Shouldn’t Dampen Hope

Responding to a pessimistic comment from youhavetobekidding, Nic commented last night: “Sorry you have such a glum outlook on like. In the years since the WTC attacks, I have met the most beautiful girl in the world and married the love of my life. Lucky for me, she was both of those people. We’ve had one special child of our own (who is better looking and smarter than I ever was) and have adopted two other beautiful children. We’ve bought a house and established as best a life as possible. I celebrated with my sister-in-law as she signed a two book publishing contract. I’ve stood by my brother as he’s conquered cancer. And I recently returned from honoring my grandparents at their 60th wedding anniversary. I have worked with recovering drug addicts wanting to piece their lives back together and teens who have nothing but optimism for the future. Yes, a bad thing happened and we should never forget the lives that were lost. The world is not any more evil now than it was before then. There’s always been evil in the world, only it hasn’t always been so noticeable. But the actions of cowards should never dampen hope.” (AP photo: New World Trade Center, with Tribute of Light showing, is now 105 stories high and rising)

Question: Do you believe the world is more evil today than it was before the 9/11 attacks?
