Wild Card/Thursday — 9.13.12

My garden would have been toast if I hadn’t covered it over the last three nights. The leaves on a couple of squash plants that had crept under the covering were frosted dark green this morning when I removed the coverings. On the other hand, I’m enjoying best tomato crop ever. And the peppers are almost ready. Temperatures appear to be warming up to the high 40s tonight. So I’m golden until the killer frost that’s lingering out there somewhere.
