We are better off

It’s official: Mitt Romney’s point men have been given their orders. Ask Reagan’s question “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” and it’s pretty obvious the Romney people believe this will be a game-changer.

Unfortunately for the Republicans, the answer for America in general is yes. There is no doubt that there are too many individuals that are still waiting for that call telling them they got the job. However, turning an economy that was bleeding 800,000 jobs a month in January 2009 into one that has seen jobs created at a rate averaging over 200,000 jobs a month for nearly three years can only be interpreted as we are indeed better off than we were four years ago.

It’s like Joe Biden said: “Osama Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive.” If you think these things made us worse off or didn’t matter, then you must be part of the GOP information bubble that sees yes as no, black as white and lies as truth.

America is definitely better off under the leadership of President Barack Obama. And if Romney and his Bush-like approach to economics wins, God help us!
