At 11:10 this morning, Jim Brannon and his attorney, Starr Kelso, will have their day in the Idaho Supreme Court when they try to persuade justices to overturn the results of the 2009 City Council elections. Brannon lost to Mike Kennedy by 5 votes and has been pursuing a legal remedy ever since. A District Court hearing reduced his margin of defeat to 4 votes. Kelso will present his arguments today. Don’t expect a Supreme Court ruling for months — or about the time that candidates begin filing for the 2013 municipal races.
