History holds key to future
We hear a lot about America’s shrinking manufacturing base, the role of government and free trade. Three fundamental factors are at work here: greed, the lust for power and ignorance.
The bottom line for business is increased profit and growth. The bottom line for government is preservation and expansion of control. And free trade is a double-edged premise. All left unbridled ignores history and reality, and fosters deterioration and collapse.
To ignore history is to jeopardize the future; to jeopardize the future is amoral and unforgivable.
