Council Calls Special Meeting

City Council called for a special meeting Thursday to consider repealing the ordinance establishing a municipal revenue bond election for wastewater treatment improvements. A judge has granted judicial confirmation allowing the City to take on $33.5 million in long-term debt to fund the wastewater treatment facility upgrades, which are needed to meet federal water quality standards.  With the judicial confirmation and the threat of an appeal withdrawn, there will no need for the bond election on May 21.  The Council will meet at noon at City Hall/ Kristina Lyman , Coeur d’Alene Today. Question: Have you begun watching Coeur d’Alene TV Channel 19 on the first and third Tuesdays of the month since Councilmen Steve Adams and Dan Gookin joined the City Council?
