Gerlach home free

Spokane County Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecutor Jack Driscoll says it is going to “be similar to an officer-involved shooting investigation.” Well, Gail Gerlach, consider yourself home free. Given the record of Spokane police clearing themselves from all wrongdoing, it seems you’re pretty safe.

Heck, take Officer Jay Olsen for one small example of Spokane’s finest. Off-duty and drinking, he chased down Shonto Pete and shot him in the head when his truck was allegedly being stolen. Also based on that precedent, if you work it right, you can even get Spokane taxpayers to pick up your legal fees and back pay like Olsen did.
