No. 16: The ‘Snitch’ Rule
Former county commission candidate Tim Herzog (re: Kootenai County’s new social media guidelines ): “Wow, Rule #16 requires employees to snitch on each other! I wonder what the snitch gets in return?”
16. Reporting violations –Any employee becoming aware of or having knowledge of a posting or of any website or web page in violation ofthis policy shall notify his or her Elected Official or Department Head immediate for follow-up action.
Question: Would you snitch on a fellow employee who violated media guidelines similar to the new ones adopted by the Kootenai County commissioners?
