McEvers To Seek 4th Term

Coeur d’Alene City Councilman Woody McEvers will seek a fourth term on the council. McEvers, first elected in 2001, holds seat 4. Since joining the council, McEvers has seen a number of projects take shape in Coeur d’Alene, including the construction of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center and the development of the education corridor. He was also instrumental in voting to move forward with the McEuen Park reconstruction project, and is the only incumbent up for election who declared he will run. McEvers has also been active in other city projects, such as expanding CDA TV, the channel that broadcasts city governmental meetings. He spearheaded the construction of the city’s BMX park, which was built on donations and volunteer/ Coeur d’Alene Press . More here.

Question: What are the strengths/weaknesses of Councilman McEvers’ candidacy?
