Shame on Quintrall

Really? I think Jan Quintrall has missed a couple of key points in her effort to decorate Spokane City Hall. First, she was not hired as an interior decorator. Second, she may have been appointed by the mayor, but she works for the citizens of Spokane.

City Hall belongs to the citizens, not the employees of City Hall. To deface or replace anything is disrespectful and a disservice to this city.

The artwork in City Hall is part of this city’s heritage, and it is what makes our City Hall unique to its citizens. If you are going to work in City Hall, then at the very least know the city code for your job. She has no right to make those kinds of decisions without the Art Commission’s and the citizens’ input.

Shame. Shame.
