Read mail to us

I just read where the Postal Service wants to save $4.5 billion of its annual $30 billion cost of door-to-door mail delivery by going to so-called “cluster boxes.” Oh, I know, $4.5 billion here, $4.5 billion there, and pretty soon you’re talking about a lot of money in government terms.

But if they’re really serious about saving money, they should completely stop all forms of mail delivery. Since the government already has our telephone numbers and is listening in to all our calls and reading all our emails, they could just add our mail to what they’re collecting – then call us and read it to us.
