Eagles open practice today

One day after being named the third-ranked team in the land, the Eastern Washington football team opens practice this afternoon. In case you missed it, here is our fall camp preview , along with the results of Tuesday’s FCS coaches’ poll .

Elsewhere, Montana opened fall camp on Tuesday; here’s the report from the Missoulian. Montana State, ranked second by the coaches, also was in action Tuesday. Eastern’s first opponent, the Oregon State Beavers, completed their second day of camp; the Oregonian is all over it . Not a lot of news from Toledo, which hosts the Eagles on Sept. 14 (the Toledo Blade newspaper seems much more interested in Ohio State and MIchigan), but I;ll keep checking.
