McEuen Archway Contract Awarded

From What’s New with McEuen newsletter: When McEuen Park opens next year, it will have a grand entrance way. The rendering above is the chosen design for the Fourth Street pedestrian entrance to the park. Several designs were submitted, all in the theme of an arch. But it is New Mexico artist Howard Meehan’s “Under the Rainbow” that will grace the entrance of the park. Meehan has completed over 35 mixed media public art projects throughout the United States. His arch design is interlaced color-changing cables strung between two pillars and forming an arch. The design is intended to give the illusion of a vibrant rainbow. Construction will begin this month and should wrap up by the end of December.

Question: Do you like the design?
