The first new week begins (with a depth chart)

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — Washington State  won’t practice today, because it’s Monday of game week. Holy cow, it’s Monday of game week. How about that? Read on for links, as well as a look at what WSU’s depth chart might entail.

—- Our story today provides a brief narrative of a projected (and that is a key word) depth chart for Washington State, and that projection is also posted below for your viewing pleasure.

—- The Cougars did hold a Sunday night practice session, but the seemingly never-ending lightning storm in Pullman forced the team inside. They held a walk-through in a practice gym, and that was that. So there’s really nothing to pass along on that end.

—- Here’s a feature from WSU Athletics on a few Cougars who like to play golf. (I had a similar conversation with Connor Halliday during camp. His handicap is much better than mine.)

—- The Ledger-Enquirer has a first look at WSU.

—- Here’s AL.com’s college football preview . There might be a thing or two about Auburn in there.

—- A fascinating story from Todd Dybas about a Washington defensive tackle’s search for the truth .

—- UCLA has more size at Y-back.

—- Another story about USC’s quarterbacks .

—- Arizona’s practices haven’t included a whole lot of contact, and the Wildcats hope that pays off in the future.

—- Arizona State has a bit of a wait until its season opener.

—- Stanford’s trajectory continues an upward trend .

—- Here’s a preview of California’s season.

—- Oregon State isn’t worrying about bumps and bruises .

—- Oregon’s quarterback and center are good friends .

—- A Utah defensive tackle shook off retirement, which isn’t easy to do.

—- Colorado might end up playing quite a few freshmen this season.
