CSB To Discuss Charter Authorization

At its meeting at 5 p.m. today in the district’s Midtown center, 1505 5th St, the Coeur d’Alene School Board will discuss reauthorizing the charter of the Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy, as it has done since the school began. A change in the state law now allows charter schools to be authorized by the Idaho Public Charter School Commission. Maureen Dolan of the Coeur d’Alene Press wrote about this issue two weeks ago here. The board will also discuss a proposal to reduce district taxes $450,000 or the amount of an emergency levy that the trustees no longer consider necessary. And the board will discuss a change in policy for booster clubs.

Question: Do any of the issues on the Coeur d’Alene School Board agenda interest you?
