CdA Man Faces Car Vandalism Counts

Coeur d’Alene police have arrested a suspect in a series of car vandalism in the 800 block of Front Avenue. Dean Morra, 55, of Coeur d’Alene, is accused of spraying WD40 on windshields and keying vehicles that parked in front of his home. Police first learned of the vandalism on Nov. 20. A Coeur d’Alene woman discovered filmy substance on her windshield and later realized her vehicle had been keyed. She couldn’t clear her windshield with defroster or by washing the vehicle. According to police, the victim suspected that neighbor Morra had vandalized her car. Morra reportedly had visited the victim at her downtown place of work, to warn her not to park in front of his home. Morra allegedly has been known to make verbal threats by saying “cars have a way of getting keyed or tires slashed.” The victim provided names of at least ten other people who have had run-ins with the male at that residence/Sgt. Christie Wood, Coeur d’Alene Police Department. Full news release here.
