Hump Day Wild Card — 12.11.13

Hagadone Corp. executive John Barlow said something last night during city Planning Commission testimony that prompted me to re-think a position. I was watching on Woody TV. I had supported keeping the planning circle for about 10 cars between the clock tower and Hagadone HQ. Barlow’s comment? He said, Don’t people prefer grass to pavement? That was exactly my position on the relocation of the Third Street parking lot. Although I enjoy that “secret parking spot” during the winter months, I’m officially abandoning my opposition to removal of the small lot. Bring on the lawn. I still think the nearby Centennial Trail should be 16 feet rather than 14 feet. Otherwise, I’m good to go on the Hagadone plan to semi-close Front Avenue between 2nd & 3rd streets. Now for today’s Wild Card …
