Last to testify: Former Rep. McGeachin

Last to testify from the public this afternoon, speaking 15 ^th , is Janice McGeachin, who until this year chaired the House Health & Welfare Committee. McGeachin said she opposes a state exchange – and she opposes a federal exchange as well. “I think that some legitimate concerns have been raised about legislative oversight,” McGeachin told the senators.

Asked if she believes the state could pass on both a state exchange and a federal exchange, McGeachin said, “I haven’t found much distinction between the two.”
