Nazis employed gun control

I was glad to see the Jan. 28 article on Holocaust Remembrance Day. As a charter/life member of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, it and current events remind me of JPFO founder Aaron Zelman and co-author Jay Simkin’s book, “Gun Control, Gateway to Tyranny.” They show the clear Nazi roots to U.S. gun control laws, starting with the Gun Control Act of 1968.

I urge concerned citizens to go to the JPFO website and learn what gun control is really about. Another good book that answers the question of why Germans did what they did in WWII is in Christopher Browning’s book, “Ordinary Men.” Note that it is titled “Ordinary Men,” not “Ordinary Germans.” There is a reason, and he shows why “it” can happen anywhere, and has throughout history.

If one really means “Never Again,” then some reading beyond the mainstream is in order.
