Hurlock Told Nursing Board Better Fit
The Twin Falls Times News is carrying a story re: a report by Rocky Barker/Idaho Statesman that state Sen.
Monte Pearce tried to get Fish & Game Commissioner Joan Hurlock (shown in AP file photo) to withdraw her nomination without a fight. Pearce, the Senate Resources and Environment Committee chairman, was afraid that his committee and the Senate would “look like a bunch of men beating up on a young woman” if Hurlock pursued the nomination. This, according to Hurlock. Then, Hurlock said Pearce told her: “He said if I withdrew, ‘I am sure the governor could appoint you to another commission, maybe the nursing board.’” To which Hurlock said she responded: “I told him, ‘Senator, I’m not qualified to serve on the nursing board.’”

H/T: James Bond
Question: And Pearce is the chairman of a Senate committee? Really?
