Include Bunker Hill in plans
Regarding “Responsible water policy a must for area’s future” (Jan. 16):
I sincerely hope that any Washington state future water policies include a plan for elimination of tons of lead and heavy metal mine waste still being washed downstream from the Bunker Hill Superfund site, of which Spokane is included.
The repositories such as the one constructed at the Old Mission at Cataldo are unnecessary. They are also being built in the floodplains of the Upper Basin and are only contributing to the serious pollution problem.
