Police acted admirably

On a late night last week, a young woman who obviously was not in her right mind tried to force her way into our home. She did not have a coat or shoes on.

After calling 911, two Spokane Police officers arrived. We told the officers neither my wife nor I knew the woman, or the person she was demanding to see. The officers then spent about a half-hour calmly talking to the woman, offering her help. After becoming less agitated, the officers led her away. The officers’ compassion dealing with this distraught young woman needs to be commended.

Thank you, Spokane Police Department, and the 911 operator.
