John Blanchette also has this insightful column about the issues involving the training staff. … Deadspin, of course, always has its own unique take on issues of the day, and has a story including some unredacted documents from WSU’s internal review, as well as some quotes from anonymous parents. … Howie Stalwick has a story in the Kitsap Sun. … Bud Withers’ column in The Seattle Times includes a quote from Marquess Wilson’s stepfather noting that Wilson is in Florida preparing for the NFL draft. … Todd Dybas’ Pac-12 basketball notebook leads with an item about Bone’s end-of-game strategy against Washington. … Tough times for Stanford, WSU’s opponent tonight at 7 p.m. … UPDATE : Tweeted this last night but forgot to link it originally: the hire of Jeff Choate as UTEP’s defensive coordinator has been made official , though athletic director Bill Moos said during his Monday radio show that Mike Leach is in pursuit of a couple “big time” assistants to replace Choate and departed inside receivers coach Eric Morris, who left to join the staff of coach Kliff Kingsbury at Texas Tech.

In Pac-12 basketball news … There’s one other basketball game tonight, as Washington visits California (8 p.m., ESPN2). The Huskies are trying to corral Cal’s star guard , Allen Crabbe.
