Christa: Glad No Public Comment

Christa Hazel RE: No public comment at tonight’s meeting on Person Field : I’m glad for no public comment. I think the governing leaders have heard plenty on this issue. It seems all comments are unanimous in support of maintaining Person Field as a park. We might differ on how this is done — whether it is for free, $2 per sq ft, $4 per sq ft, etc. I feel those details are best left to the folks privy to all the information. Watching them make these decisions and share this information will be beneficial for our community who will be questioning whatever is decided or not decided tonight.

Question: Certainly, the two sides know the issues in the sale of Person Field. So public comment wouldn’t be necessary. However, it still might be a good idea to let the public have its say on this important matter. What do you think?
