Chiefs carry 2-1 lead into final period

Carter Proft’s sixth goal of the season, at the 12:29 mark of the second period, snapped a tie and the Spokane Chiefs reached the end of the second period Saturday night with a 2-1 edge over Tri-City in Western Hockey League play. Spokane has outshot the Americans 27-14.
