Kingly pen a concern

I am not particularly alarmed by the content of President Barack Obama’s gun control proposals. I am alarmed, again, at the frequency with which Obama arms himself with the kingly pen.

Do we have any expectation that he will ever respect the right and duty of our representatives to act on our behalf, or should we resign ourselves to the prospect of a monarchy?

Perhaps each of us should shoulder our responsibility of communicating with those representatives. Just as any boss must tell his employees what he expects of them, we should make sure our employees are doing our will. This is Civics 101.
