Chiefs, Winterhawks prep for middle game

The Spokane Chiefs and Portland Winterhawks are warming up for tonight’s Western Hockey League game at the Arena. The teams met Monday in Portland, a 5-2 Chiefs win, and will also play Friday at the Arena. Portland is on a season-high three-game losing streak but is still 33-4-0-1 since Oct. 9. The Winterhawks have won three of four against Spokane this season. The teams will meet nine times this season. Spokane hits the two-thirds mark of the 72-game schedule tonight.
