UI Student Died From Hypothermia

An autopsy Wednesday confirmed 18-year-old University of Idaho student Joseph Wiederrick died from hypothermia early Sunday morning after wandering away from a fraternity party the night before. “We know that he died of hypothermia, but we won’t have the toxicology report back for two to three weeks,” Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt said. Wiederrick’s body was found Monday afternoon under a bridge two miles north of Moscow along North Mountain View Road after a nearly two-day search that began when the UI student’s roommate reported he hadn’t returned to their Theophilus Tower dorm room/ Moscow-Pullman Daily News .
