Winterhawks shut out Chiefs
Mac Carruth stopped 36 shots and the Portland Winterhawks scored three power-play goals Friday night to blank the Spokane Chiefs 3-0 in Western Hockey League play at the Arena. Spokane, shut out for the first time this season, finished 0 for 7 on the power play. Spokane had defeated Portland on Monday at Portland and Wednesday at the Arena. Story to come
