Weekend Wild Card — 1.26-27.13

We’re a week from Groundhog’s Day and what I call the end to “Hard Winter.” I figure Hard Winter lasts from my birthday (Nov. 20) to my Dad’s birthday (Feb. 2). Before and afterward, we have to deal with the shoulder seasons. The tail end of fall. And the beginning of spring. For me, the official end to winter happens when the first pitch of a Major League Baseball spring training game is thrown. (For those keeping score at home, I haven’t put studs on my cars for 3 of the last 4 winters — not that they were needed at all for the last two mild ones). Enjoy yourselves this weekend.
