Task Force To Condemn Trustee ‘Joke’

Huckleberries has learned … that the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations will hold press conference at 1 p.m. Tuesday to condemn the offensive anti-Obama “joke” made by School Trustee Brent Regan at a legislative forum Saturday. The press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. in the Human Rights Education Institute building, Northwest Boulevard and Garden. Tony Stewart (pictured in SR file photo), secretary of the task force, issued this brief statement moments ago re: subject of the press conference: “Addressing a disturbing public statement regarding racism attributed to a member of the Coeur d’Alene School Board made last Saturday at a town hall meeting of Idaho State Legislatures. The KCTFHR Board will issue a formal statement and take questions from the media.”
