Man With Severed Penis Recovers

Police are investigating a bizarre case in Asotin County after a naked man with severed genitals was found Tuesday morning in the middle of a road. The 62-year-old Clarkston man, whose identity has not been released by police, was discovered about 4:20 a.m. on the 1400 block of Fifth Street in Clarkston. Capt. Dan Hally with the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office said the man was conscious and lying in a pool of blood when police arrived. He was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, where he is recovering from his injuries. At the scene, law enforcement followed a blood trail and located the man’s severed penis on a grassy hillside several hundred yards from where he was found, along with a serrated knife and the man’s boxer shorts. The organ was taken to the hospital for possible reattachment, but it is unknown if the surgery was successful, officers said Tuesday evening/ Kerri Sandaine , Lewiston Tribune. More here .
