Snyder knows Spokane’s needs

Here we go again. Ballots for the primary election will show up in our mailboxes in a couple of weeks, and there is a lot on the line with this election. I am supporting Jon Snyder for re-election to the Spokane City Council because he is a proven advocate for me and my neighbors. He recognizes the penny-wise and pound-foolishness of cutting our public safety resources, and he fought to keep our police and fire departments adequately staffed.

As a small-business owner, I appreciate Jon’s understanding of the challenges faced by our business community and that he has initiated changes in city policies to encourage economic growth. Most important to me is the fact that Jon listens, responds and takes action to address my concerns whether it’s the closing of Fire Station No. 9, the speeders on my street, or the safety of children in my neighborhood.

While we disagree on some issues, most notably my support of Envision, I know Jon to be an honest, hard-working councilman who will take the hard votes without regard to political expediency. He serves the best interests of all his constituents in the 2nd District, and we deserve his representation.
