Who Should Be Mayor, Councilmen?

We’ve speculated a little here re: who should run for mayor of Coeur d’Alene and for the City Council. On Wednesday afternoon, I heard a good name for council that prompted me to slap my forehead and say, of course. Jim Pierce. Jim fell short in his bid for the Kootenai Hospital District board. But he’d be a swell candidate for council, given his ties to the downtown business community. He’s a member of the Reagan Republicans. But, in his case, that’s not a deal breaker. Also, I think Steve Widmyer of Fort Ground Grill would be a good council candidate. And I think that the best candidate for mayor is the one currently holding that office, Sandi Bloem. How about you?
