Balance North Idaho applauds the decision of the Coeur d’Alene City Council members: Mike Kennedy (acting Mayor), Deanna Goodlander, Dan Gookin, Woody McEvers and Ron Edinger last night regarding the Anti-Discrimination Ordinance. “All people deserve equal respect and fair treatment in our modern day society,” said Eden Irgens, President.  “The city of Coeur d’Alene took a noble step in adopting an ordinance that provides the same freedoms to the LGBT community that others enjoy and expect everywhere they go.  Some of the testimony given last night by members of the LGBT community was hard to hear.  Discrimination hurts.”
