Poll: Only 13 Get Council Vote Right
- Tuesday Poll: The 13 (of 126, 10.32%) who correctly guessed the final vote of the City Council on the antidiscrimination ordinance (5-1 in favor) should take a bow, including the 4 who voted this morning. A plurality of Hucks Nation thought, as I did, that Mayor Sandi Bloem would be required to cast the tie breaker for a 4-3 vote in favor (44 of 126, 34.92%). 39 of 126 (30.95%) predicted the vote would be 4-2 in favor. OTOH, 15 (11.9%) said the mayor would cast the tie breaker against the ordinance; 12 (9.52%) predicted a 4-2 vote against; and 3 (2.38%) predicted a 5-1 vote against.
- Today’s Poll: Do you support Councilman Dan Gookin’s idea of extending city benefits to same-sex couples?
