Obamacare unpopular

Kent Rinne, in his May 30 letter, accuses Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and “her party” of denying the will of the people by opposing Obamacare. The fact is that Obamacare has never been the will of the people. The latest CNN poll (May 2013) found 54 percent of Americans still oppose the law, and 43 percent support it.

The suggestion that Cathy and her party hate “the idea that government can solve problems and can benefit everyone” is ridiculous. They are part of that government. The real concern is the proper role of government to provide benefits without taking away rights, freedoms and personal responsibilities.
