Depends on the shooter

On Father’s Day morning, I was thinking about Gail Gerlach, the Spokane plumber who has been charged with manslaughter for shooting and killing a thief who was driving off in his van. The rationale: A vehicle isn’t worth a human life.

Then I thought of Randy Weaver, whose alleged crime was selling a sawed-off shotgun, and who was an anti-government sort of guy. He lost his wife and son, both shot by government agents. Guess it depends on who is doing the shooting. Something to keep in mind these days when we are being asked to trust our government.
